On May 31, ERKI Fashion Show will fill Põhjala Tehas with bold ideas and daring collections. This iconic event, running since 1982, remains the heart of Estonian fashion, where young designers unleash their talent and creative freedom.
What is ERKI Fashion Show?
ERKI Fashion Show is more than just a fashion show—it’s a true celebration of creativity. Students and recent graduates from the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA), alongside designers from international fashion schools, showcase their unique collections. The event is renowned for its complete freedom of expression: no limits on themes or forms, just pure inspiration. It’s one of Estonia’s largest fashion events, entirely organized by EKA volunteers, including future artists, designers, and architects.
The 2025 Theme
This year’s show, titled TUND ENNE HOMSET (“One Hour Before Tomorrow”), captures the spirit of a generation balancing freedom and responsibility. On March 17, the jury selected 10 standout collections:
Allan Suomalainen — “Echoes of the steppe”
Marcus Eier — “Memories that remain”
Mihhail Zaytsev — “When times were still innocent”
Kätlin Kalmus — “Fades Away”
Helen Tambla — “Mäekuru”
Linda Teemägi — “For female snufkin”
Kristina Oja — “Teine”
Cristopher Siniväli — “EXO”
Mairo Seire — “MÄLO”
Britten Pärkson — “Snsr”
Each collection tells a distinct story through clothing, music, and scenography. The first two acts feature a classic runway, while the third act offers a showcase format, allowing the audience to explore the designs up close, learn about the designers’ concepts, and immerse themselves in the atmosphere through choreography and spatial design.
