On June 12, the Estonian Fashion Festival opened its doors at the Samelin shoe factory with the grand fashion show Mood-Performance-Tants, Tartu’s longest-standing fashion event. Organized by Pallas College of Art, this year marked the 28th edition of the event, showcasing the creations of Pallas design graduates. This unique fashion show is closely tied to the defense of the school’s final theses, offering graduates a chance to present their collections on a professionally staged runway, evaluated by an expert jury.

A total of 13 distinctive collections were presented:

Mari Lemet – Eden.exe

Hanna-Maria Org – Ummamuudu lilled (Otherworldly flowers)

Helen Vetik – Helmas (In the hem)

Brigitte Mihkelson – Kasvades Kihiliselt (Growing in layers)

The designers’ work was evaluated by a jury consisting of Aet Ollisaar, Jaanus Tepomees, Madis Liplap, Anni Vallsalu, Key Külaots, Maria Kristiin Peterson, Kairi Lentsius, and Hertta Voido.

The performance gained depth through musicians Kadri Voorand and Mihkel Mälgand, who created an improvisational soundscape, and actress Ingrid Isotamm, whose dramaturgical presence added individuality to the production. Director Jaanus Tepomees seamlessly blended all elements into a harmonious artistic experience.

The event attracted numerous local fashion enthusiasts. Photographer Anna Viaznikova captured the stylish outfits of the guests, highlighting each individual’s uniqueness. The editorial team of Haute Mood selected 15 of the most striking looks, reflecting the festival’s distinctive aesthetic.
