On October 12, 2025, the current building of Tartu Kaubamaja turned 20 years old. The shopping center kicked off its anniversary celebrations last week with a historical light show on the building’s facade, which all city residents could enjoy. This weekend, from October 17 to 19, the festivities will continue, bringing fashion, music, and shopping to the center.

Friday, October 17, will be especially packed with events. At 4:00 PM on the atrium stage on the first floor of Tartu Kaubamaja, designers from the Estonian Fashion Festival will showcase their collections, including B.MOR Studio, which received a special award from Tartu Kaubamaja at the Estonian Fashion Festival. The best pieces from these collections will be available for purchase at Kaubamaja Naistemaailm in Tartu. Additionally, autumn trends curated from the shopping center’s stores will be presented to the audience.

That same evening, two artists—Anett & reket—will perform at Tartu Kaubamaja. The program will feature their joint single “Ajavahe” along with a selection of songs from both performers’ repertoires.

In addition to fashion and music, guests can look forward to price surprises and gifts from Tartu Kaubamaja stores throughout the weekend. Until October 31, visitors can record their brightest memories of Tartu Kaubamaja in the atrium via the “Memory phone.” The author of one of the stories will receive an Apple Watch as a gift from the C&C store.

“For two decades, Tartu Kaubamaja has been a place where fashion, culture, and people come together. Our 20th anniversary is a wonderful opportunity to once again unite these three elements: joy, beauty, and inspiration,” said Kristel Liivapuu, CEO of Tartu Kaubamaja. “We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with everyone who appreciates good design and a pleasant atmosphere.”
